We are excited to share with you our love for Yoga practices and the Pakleni islands!
This retreat is a full immersion into the calmness and wildness of the Pakleni Islands — one of the world’s very best islands. You will have the luxury of waking up with the melodies of waves, enjoying long swims, massages, picking home-grown veggies from the garden, and admiring amazing sunsets.
Disconnect to connect…
No cars. No neighbors. Just the sea in front and amazing nature behind you.
Celebrate and reconnect to your true nature as a woman, be nourished and supported by yogic and shamanic practices, and Nature elements – crystal clear water, warm sun, fragrant air and fertile earth – so you can ignite a true process of transformation and self healing in a small and safe group of like-minded women.
PROGRAM
Discover day by day program of Women’s Yoga retreat on Pakleni islands with Yoga teacher Sandra and host Sasha
Day 1 — ARRIVAL + OPENING CIRCLE
We will meet at 4 pm at Hvar main square and then head with the boat towards our villa at Pakleni islands.
A gentle meditation practice to help you setltle down will be followed by a homemade dinner served at the villa’s porch.
Day 2 — EARTH ELEMENT PRACTICES + CACAO CEREMONY CIRCLE
We’ll wake up early to catch the first sun rays, and start the day with a guided meditation and a gentle earthing yoga practice.
Long and lazy brunch will give you time to settle and enjoy your new home for the next days. We will guide you through exercises for connecting with the Nature, with the Earth and with your Self.
The afternoon is reserved for leisure activities like massage or energetic treatments, relaxing with a book in your hammock, or simply having a long swim in the crystal clear sea.
At sunset time we will gather in a circle for Cacao Ceremony and sharing time, and we will end the day with delicious local dinner.
Day 3 — FIRE ELEMENT PRACTICES + SOLSTICE CEREMONY CIRCLE
We start the day with the sunrise meditation and gently challenging vinyasa practice, followed by rich and slow brunch.
The afternoon is reserved for a meditation walk through the island – walking in silence will allow you to connect deeply with the natural elements as well as yourself. We believe this island has a special energy, can’t wait to hear your impressions!
At sunset we will have a restorative Yin Yoga practice, followed by a yummy dinner. After dinner we meet for the Solstice Fire Ceremony and a circle of sharing.
Day 4 — AIR ELEMENT PRACTICES + ISLAND HOPPING
Our day will start with meditation, light and spacious yoga practice and breath work (pranayama), followed by healthy veggie brunch.
Today’s plan is island hopping around Pakleni islands and the island of Hvar. We will enjoy snorkeling in hidden bays, mud baths known for healing effects, and refreshment at a beautiful beach bar. Last stop is Hvar where we have free time for exploring charming Venetian architecture spots and art shops. For dinner, we will be hosted by the friendly local family in their charming garden.
Back to our magic little island we will end the day with guided Yoga Nidra under the starry sky.
Day 5 — WATER ELEMENT PRACTICES + THE RITE OF THE WOMB
After awakening our bodies with flow yoga class and healing pranayama practices, and nurturing our senses with delicious brunch, we will connect to the Water element and receive it’s teachings.
In your free time you can relax with the massage or energy treatment, explore the hidden bays or visit a magical treehouse nearby.
Around sunset, we will gather under the olive trees for a healthy nutrition and phytotherapy workshop. We will celebrate the completion of this week together with dinner around the bonfire, followed by a very special Womb healing ritual from shamans of the Andes.
Day 6 — RETURN HOME or...
The last morning practice will be dedicated to Pachamama who hosted us in this week, and through our life, followed by the closing circle of sharing, yummy fresh brunch and the last sea dip.
Rejuvenated and recharged, you are ready to go back in the real world.
We will take you back to the island of Hvar, from where you can decide; or to stay to live in Croatia or to go back to your home…
VILLA
We’re surrounded by breathtaking, wild nature while staying in a beautiful eco-friendly, newly built villa located on the Pakleni islands – an archipelago of Hvar, one of the most beautifu islands of Adriatic Sea.
The Cricket house is located only 20 minutes boat ride from Hvar island. There are no cars on the Pakleni islands, and our villa has no neighbors. The house consists of a large living room, kitchen, spacious dining room, 4 bedrooms, and 5 bathrooms. Two bedrooms are situated on the ground floor with double beds and en-suite bathrooms. On the upper floor are a triple room and a twin room with en-suite bathrooms.
Surrounding the house is a spacious Mediterranean garden with authentic herbs, figs, and olive trees. The wild flora garden is equipped with hammocks and deck chairs, making it the ideal place to enjoy the nature and the silence. Private beach just 5 minutes walk away.
We also offer the option of staying in the tent and using the bathroom from the house. If you are interested, let us know, so we can provide a tent for you.
FOOD
Our food is prepared only with fresh and seasonal ingredients from local farmers because we love to support the local economy.
During your stay you’ll be delighted with two rich daily meals made by the local chef. Brunches and dinners are mainly vegetarian and vegan. The gluten-free options are available – let us know ahead about your special needs.
Coffee, tea, fruits and snacks will be available throughout the day.
LOCATION
Pakleni Island is a gorgeous chain of wooded isles that stretches out immediately in front of the town of Hvar.
Although the name literally means ‘Hell’s Islands’, it’s thought to derive from ‘paklina’, a pine resin that was once harvested here to waterproof boats. The more descriptive name will be ‘Green and Blue Paradise’ of a Dalmatian coast, because of plenty of deep blue caves and tiny white sandy beaches.
